Bumpus, Amelia passed on October 19, 2017 peacefully at home in Brockton, MA surrounded by her beloved husband Robert Lee Bumpus and family. 

She was a loving mother to Joe Brent Holman of New Hampshire. Blessed to have three grand children Yosha Branch, Amelia Lewis and Danielle Holman. Cherished great-grandmother to Courtney Johnson, Kyle Lewis, Brooklynn Lewis, and Calvin Lewis.

Ms. Amelia was predeceased by her parents the late Alvis and the late Luza Holman both of Efland, North Carolina, her sisters Melvin G. White, Lena C. McAdoo, Viola Morrow, Mary Bonds, Virginia Haskins and Arzelia McAdoo, her brothers Ralph Holman, Joseph Holman, Leroy A. Holman and Clarence Holman. 

She leaves her caring siblings Iola Charles (No Carolina), Maggie Holman (No Carolina), Hewearl Holman (Boston, MA) and Herman Holman (No Carolina) along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to cherish her memories. 

Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6-7 PM at George Lopes Funeral Home, 821 Cummins Highway, Mattapan, MA 02126.

Celebration of Life service will start at 7 PM also from the funeral home. Private interment will be held with St. Michael Crematory.
