OBITUARY

Elioza Casseus, 86, of Mattapan passed away peacefully on Thursday August 24, 2017.  Elioza was born on January 28, 1931 in Bel Air Haiti. She was a daughter of her late parents Moise Gerneille and Hosanna  (Brinvil) Gerneille.  Elioza was 1 of 6 children with 4 brothers, Michel, Ludovic, Andre, Gerard and 1 sister Marcelle who have all passed before her.
Elioza was married to her late husband  Jean P. Murat Casseus for 62 blessed years. They got married in 1955 after dating for 3 years. Elioza and her husband had 8 beautiful children together and later adopted their 9th child . She was a great mother  to her sons Fritz  and wife Jocelyn, the late Mario, Patrick,  Murat Jr, Ernst with wife Marie Kathleen and David  with wife Marie.  She was a loving mother to her daughters Marie Merlotte  with husband Jean Claude Pierre, Jeanne Esther and Francine with husband Edgar Preval.
Elioza was a wonderful grandmother to Aimy, Ashley, Lindsey, Elijah, Neissa Kristine, Keven, Shera, Delvante, Regine, Stanley, Christelle, Fabienne, Ralph, Frantz and George.  Elioza was a wonderful great-grandmother to Leylany, Camilee, Maeva and Dinkson.
Elioza was a devoted Christian in her church in Haiti. She loved to go to church. She served on the committee of the church and spent  a lot of time there volunteering. She became a Missionary Servant and traveled to the most remote locations of Haiti to help the poor and bring God's message from the Bible. She was blessed with a beautiful voice from a young age and absolutely loved to sing and praise God through song. Elioza enjoyed serving  on the choir in her church in Haiti and in Boston. Elioza was very gifted as a seamstress and created beautiful attire for men, women and children. She especially focused on clothing for children and would always bring some of these clothes when she went on Mission Trips in Haiti. Elioza  enjoyed sharing a good meal with the whole family and friends on Sundays after church. The Lord's day was always a day filled with love, joy, peace, happiness, and good times.
Elioza migrated to the United States from Haiti with her husband. Her husband wanted a better life for his wife and children in America. Through the hard work of her husband and her dedication they created a beautiful life in Boston, MA. Elioza and her husband became very active in their church. They both served on the choir and Elioza was also part of the Women Missionary. She held prayer groups at her home, she went with the Women's Missionary to other people's homes or hospitals to support her brothers and sisters through prayer. She sang and Praised God every day of her life. She was filled with wisdom and  was very compassionate.  Elioza was such a loving and giving person. She loved animals and had birds, cats, dogs, and fish as pets.  She shared everything that she had. Whatever she had, was never to little to share with others. Elioza was a model Christian Servant, sister, friend, wife, and Mother. She will be missed wholeheartedly by all those who knew her.
