Thornton, Norma Jessie passed at home in Boston, Massachusetts on August 11, 2017. Beloved daughter to the late Melvin and the late Margaret Barton. 

She leaves her children Lucinda Barton, Wayne Johnson, Robert Thornton and Tyrone Thornton. She was predeceased by her son Edward Barton. 

Blessed to have sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grand children. She was a great sister to Gene, Judith, Fredrick, James, Carol and Delisa. She also leaves a host of loving family and friends to cherish her memories. 

Visitation with family on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 10-11 AM at George Lopes Funeral Home, 821 Cummins Highway, Mattapan, MA 02126.

Celebration of Life Service will start at 11 AM also from the funeral home. Interment to follow to Oak Lawn Cemetery, 427 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, MA 02136.
