Dorothy L Gaddy (Dot) wife of Joe E Gaddy, died peacefully on September 16, 2017 at the age of 74. 

Born October 29, 1942 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Herbert Avant & Averlene (Evans) Avant.

Dot moved to Brockton in the mid 70's and worked at Brigham & Women’s Hospital as a Unit Coordinator for over 25 years and her hobbies were her children and going to church.

In addition to her beloved husband, Dot is survived by her two children Teresa Thomas and her husband Silvester Thomas. Joe Gaddy Jr. and his wife Marjon Tondravi. Her granddaughter Alissa Souffrount and two great granddaughters, Amiyah Centeio and Jaylee Lima. She is also survived by her sisters Margie Jackson, Iva Strickland, her brother Herbert Avant Jr and his wife Janice Avant and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

Visitation with family on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10-11 AM at Dahlborg and MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301.

Celebration of Life Service will start at 11 AM also from the funeral home. Interment following service to Melrose Cemetery, Brockton, MA.
