Gerrod was a typical teenage student at Brighton High School. Even though I was not assigned his teacher, he often came to me for help with his writing and reading. We spent many lunches together along with some of his peers. Gerrod was quiet but deep, always hoping for the best results. Gerrod wanted more and I hope he is getting that now, in a place where there are no struggles-that would match his smile that could light up a room.
