Michael Arthur Obituary

Michael Joseph Arthur was born on October 30, 1968. He departed this life on April 21, 2019. He was the son of the late Raymond and Bessie (Robinson) Arthur of Sumter, South Carolina.

Michael was raised in Boston, MA and attended Charlestown High School. He met the love of his life, Nicole, in 1991. The couple later married on November 17, 2001. Michael had the biggest heart; never discriminating. He knew many people and showed everyone love.

In the workforce, Michael had a major impact on the companies where he was employed. A jack of all trades, Michael held positions as a construction worker, a salesman, a forklift operator and a chef, to name a few. Whatever career path he was on, he made a positive impact.

Michael also had a gift and instinctively, should have been a sports commentator. He was the ultimate sports fanatic. His in-depth knowledge of player stats and coaching strategies was immeasurable. Nicole would always jokingly say, “if you knew the scriptures that much, you would be all set.” What’s amazing is that her words were later manifested. The passion and zeal Michael had for sports, developed into a love for Christ and a desire for God's word.

In 2000, Michael confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior. A true testament of his dedication to the Lord's work came in 2004 when he was ordained Deacon of Victory Chapel Church, under Bishop Wayne Jordan. He later went on with his wife Nicole (Overseer), working tirelessly to establish Remnants of God Outreach Ministries, where he was an active Deacon. Michael played huge a role in the ministry. He knew the community well which made evangelizing more impactful. Michael was involved in the Men of Standard Men's group which allowed him to assist and take part in matters of spiritual growth and fatherhood. Through the grace of God, Michael’s life had been transformed. Michael is proof that no matter what’s attached to your name, God is in control.

Michael was an amazing husband and a great father. He was passionate about serving his wife, providing for his household and had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory seven daughters: Brianna Barreto (Andrew), Fort Walton Beach, FL; Miciyiaah Renrick, Boston, MA; Tyniese Holmes, Nicole Miracle Arthur, Timmealya Holmes, Tyjenaya Holmes, Boston, MA; Shadae Arthur (Deceased); three sons: Treva Holmes, Boston, MA; Taricky Holmes (Tara), Brockton, MA; Titus Arthur (Deceased); two sisters, Jaqueline Arthur Dixon (Marvin), Worcester, MA; Doris Arthur Thompson (Deceased); one brother, Edward Arthur, Boston,MA; eleven grandchildren, Noemi, Manny, Elijah, Elise, Ezyree, Antwon Jr., Amirah, Avery, Kiara, Khalise, Kendrick; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Above all and most importantly, Michael leaves a legacy of love built and nurtured over the years with his loving wife, Nicole Arthur, Boston, MA.
