Willie F Baker

Willie F. Baker was born in Oxford Alabama on February 18, 1936 to Thelma and Rail Baker who both preceded him in death.

He relocated to Boston MA in 1959 where he grew into adulthood.  At this time, he met Dorothy Williams and with this union came three children, Shirley Williams, Shandell Williams and Eric Williams. He then went to having other children whom are, Dameyon Walker and Sabrina. He then met his longtime companion Joyce Stoutley who preceded him in death.

Willie was employed at the Boston Globe as a newspaper carrier. Not finished with work Wille worked as a construction worker where he retired after many years.

Willie passed on July 3, 2019.

He was a loving father and grandfather and will always be remembered for his smile and laughter.

He was the bother of the late Jerlene Baker Kite of Baltimore, Maryland, Mary Helen Power, Ailene Baker of Detroit Michigan, Leroy Baker of Indiana, Arnetta Harris of Oxford Alabama and Rev. Leon Baker from Lenox, New York,

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his children, Shirley Williams, Shandell Williams and Eric Williams. His stepdaughter; Tracey Stoutley. His stepsons, Kenneth Williams and Walter Williams.

He also leaves to mourn his grandchildren, Lisa Brown, Christine Banks, Cassandra Banks, Annette Banks, Shawn Edwards, Dominic Williams; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 10-11 AM at the George Lopes Funeral Home, 821 Cummins Highway, Mattapan, MA 02126.

Celebration of Life Service will start at 11 AM also from the funeral home. 

Interment will follow to Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St, Everett, MA 02149
