Amilcar Barros

Amilcar Barros (44) of Brockton, Massachusetts passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2025. Amilcar was born on June 16, 1980, to João ‘Guigui’ Barros and Maria Alice ‘Né (Rocha) in Boston, Massachusetts. Amilcar leaves behind his wife, two children, sister, brothers, nephews, nieces, and fur babies. He will be missed by many beloved cousins, family, and friends.

He served his country honorably in the Army National Guard from 2007 to 2008.

He is a graduate of Brockton High School class of 1998 where he pursued many interests and fostered lifelong bonds. He was a proud co-founder of ATA Construction Services, Inc, centered around family, and focused on community as so many of us can see around our homes and can feel in the quality of our lives.

While we are heartbroken by Amilcar’s passing, we celebrate his accomplishments as a builder, business leader, and mentor. He took pride in the acts of service he shared with all around him, each and every day, freely. Amilcar was equally passionate about sharing downtime with all who came by to enjoy the backyard and throwing something on the multiple grills.

Amilcar’s kindness and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his unwavering spirit and the love he poured into his family.
