Angel L. Cordero, 76, of Plymouth, passed away on April 28, 2023, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston. He was the husband of Fatima D. (Fontes) Cordero and the son of the late Encarnacion and Juana (Ayala) Cordero.
He was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico and lived in Brockton before moving to Plymouth.
Mr. Cordero worked as a machine operator for Chase & Sons Co. in Randolph for 45 years before retiring. After retiring, he worked as a team associate at Walmart in Plymouth.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, painting, cooking and entertaining family and friends, and watching boxing.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Fatima D. (Fontes) Cordero; his children,
Leeanne Monteiro of Brockton, Jennifer Nash Cordero of Kingston, Tara Crowley of Plympton, Joshua Cordero of NH, Kari Cordero of NC, David Cordero of Savannah, GA, Angelica Cordero and Luis Cordero both of Plymouth; his brothers and sisters, Marta Cordero of Puerto Rico, Martin Cordero of Brockton, Juanita Hornedo and Benny Cordero both of Brockton; 14 grandchildren; a great grandson; several nephews and nieces.
Visiting hours are from 5:00 to 8:00Pm on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the George Lopes Funeral Home, Brockton, MA.
The funeral mass will take place at 11:00AM on Monday, May 8, 2023, located at St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 E. Main Street, Brockton, MA. Proceeding the mass will be interment to Calvary cemetery in Brockton, MA.
