On January 27, 1952, Angela Gail Reese was born to late parents, Leona Farrier and James T. Reese in Langdale, Alabama. She was affectionately known as Gail to close family members and Angie by friends and colleagues. Her mother migrated to Boston in the early 1960's where she was raised in the church at Holy Cross in Roxbury, MA. She received her education in the Boston Public School system and later attend Bryman Institute where she received her education in nursing and hematology. Angela was a very dedicated person and held a long vibrant career at Mass General Hospital working with the renowned hematologist specialist. Dr. Leonard Ellman.
Family was very important to Angela and she was very happy when she birthed her only son, Marcus L. Reese (Speedy) with the late Dallas Rivers. Simultaneously her sister Minnie was also with child and birthed her 4th daughter just three weeks after Angela delivered her son. That was the start to Angela's relationship with her niece Pat who she would later raise as her own daughter.
Angela departed this life on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 7am due to complications of Parkinson's Disease but entered eternal life!
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son Marcus L. Reese, grand daughter Shianne Valcin-Ray (Anthony), great grand daughter Elu'Mahdi Ray, great grand son Antonio Raye all of Suffolk County, MA. her niece who was like a daughter, Patricia Samuels (Walter) and their children of Bristol County. Her sisters Minnie Reese of Suffolk County, MA and Rebecca Wiggins of Middlesex County, MA, two other special nieces Lynn Moore (Willie) and Michelle Reese and their children. Her oldest close friend Deloris Pina, two best friends Reverend Barbara Abdurraheem and Diane Moore all of Suffolk County.
