Antonio “Fifi” Rodrigues Pereira, beloved patriarch, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5th, surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren.
Fifi was a man whose presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew him. Known for his infectious smile and good humor, he was truly a friend to everyone he met. He had a beautiful soul, a gift for storytelling, and carried the rich history of his family with pride—keeping memories, family trees, and stories alive in his heart and mind.
Fifi proudly served for in the Cape Verdean army. He also was a skilled barber where he worked during and after his time in the army. Before migrating to the United States, he lived in Lisbon, Portugal, where he continued to build a life and family with his adoring wife. He cherished life deeply and found his greatest happiness in spending time surrounded by family and friends.
He leaves behind his loving sisters, Mana, Ines, and Adelina; his brother, Mane; and his children, Sandra, Nelson, Valter, Nuno, and Ivandro. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry his legacy forward.
Fifi was predeceased by his beloved wife, Maria Isabel, his caring parents , his siblings, Silveria, Baltazar and Alfredo; his dear daughter, Carla; and several nieces and nephews.
His love, wisdom, and joyful spirit will live on in all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
