Antonio Gomes Timas

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio Gomes Timas, who departed this life on September 3, 2026, in Brockton, Massachusetts, at the age of 67.

Antonio was born on September 12, 1958, in Fogo, Cabo Verde, to his beloved late parents, Manuel Fernandes and Lidia Gomes Timas. Rooted in his Cape Verdean heritage, Antonio carried with him the values of family, hard work, and perseverance throughout his life.

During his working years, Antonio spent time working in warehouse cleaning, where he dedicated himself to providing through honest and hardworking service. Beyond his work, Antonio will be remembered most for the life he shared with those closest to him and the memories he leaves behind.

Antonio leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children, along with a host of loving family members, extended relatives, and dear friends. His passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, but the memories shared with Antonio will continue to live on through the lives he touched.

Antonio is now reunited in eternal rest with his beloved parents, Manuel Fernandes and Lidia Gomes Timas. May his family find comfort in knowing that his journey continues in peace and that his memory will forever remain a treasured part of their hearts.

Viewing hours will take place on Monday, September 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at George Lopes Funeral Home, 647 Main Street, Brockton, Massachusetts.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Antonio’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 E. Main Street, Brockton, Massachusetts.

Following the Funeral Mass, Antonio will be laid to rest at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl Street, Brockton, Massachusetts.

May Antonio Gomes Timas rest peacefully, and may his memory forever remain a source of love, strength, and comfort to all who knew and loved him.
