Benilde Monteiro

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Benilde Monteiro announces her peaceful passing on November 11, 2025, in Holbrook, Massachusetts.

Born on February 27, 1934, in Brava, Cabo Verde, Benilde was the beloved daughter of the late Manu Andrade Rodrigues and Laura Andrade Rodrigues.

Benilde was a devoted homemaker who poured her love and energy into creating a warm, welcoming home for her family. She was a woman of deep faith, compassion, and quiet strength, always putting others before herself and finding joy in caring for those she loved. Her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Tadeu Monteiro, and her loving children: Maria, Jose, Elizabeth, Laura, Autilio, Clarice, and Domingos. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Benilde is reunited in eternal rest with her beloved parents, a child, and a grandchild who preceded her in death.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Benilde’s life at her Wake Service on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, located at 400 Dudley Street, Roxbury, MA 02119.

A Funeral Mass will be held the following day, Monday, November 17, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Interment will follow at New Calvary Cemetery, 800 Harvard Street, Mattapan, MA 02126.

Benilde’s life was a testament to love, faith, and family. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
