Beverly Warren McLean – Age 90, of Roxbury, MA, passed away on July 3, 2026. She was born on May 8, 1936 in New York, New York. Beverly was passionate about her church and her children, biological and “adopted”. Her last years of life were difficult as she struggled with COPD but all who loved her will cherish their memories of the wise, energetic, loving lady that she was.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband James (Sonny) Pells McLean. Beverly is survived by her children - Linda Ellen Warren-Cato, Gwendolyn Elaine Edwards, Tanya Bonita Warren, and Edwyn Johnathan Warren, her grandchildren – Shawnta Monique Edwards Temple, Kashaunda Marie Edwards Armstrong, Nefertiti Nakiya Warren, Jared Chioke Warren Cato, Anthony Jelani Warren Cato, and Jasen Arziki Warren Cato, her great grandchildren – Tyrell Dashawn Edwards, Cherish Nittya Temple, Kordell Kyng Edwards, Darnell Marcus Lavell Temple, Jr., Jarell Aizen Edwards, and Dontae Michael Latrell Temple, and her grandsons-in-law – Darnell Marcus Lavell Temple Sr. and Joseph Lee Armstrong.
Beverly dedicated her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse by profession and as an active member of the Christ Temple Church of Personal Experience congregation. She was a dedicated Sunday School teacher, Choir Member, Missionary, Altar Worker, and Trustee.
Beverly’s favorite color was blue. If you are able to wear a touch of blue, she would be so happy. Please join us in honoring the life of Beverly Warren McLean and remembering the love she brought to all those around her.
