Bonita Louise “Bonnie” Burrelle, 79, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, born on July 11, 1946, Born the proud daughter to Mary L. Anderson Burrelle and George “Guiseppe Ricardo” Burrelle Sr., Her life was one of fierce individuality, enduring love, and a vibrant spirit.
From an early age, Bonita embraced the world with boldness. A spirited tomboy growing in the south end/ back bay up alongside her older brother Rick (George), she learned quickly how to stand her ground—her voice sharp with wit, her heart loyal and unshakable. She was known for saying exactly what she thought and doing exactly as she pleased, leaving no question about where she stood or who she stood for. Education played a meaningful role in Bonita's story. After initially graduating high school early in Lancaster, a clerical error required her to return and complete her studies. With typical resolve, she enrolled at The Adult Learning Center and earned her diploma from Boston High School—graduating at the top of her class with her children cheering her on. That moment became a symbol of the perseverance that defined much of her life. Bonita's talent for transforming spaces blossomed into a fulfilling career in interior and exterior decorating and managing Bowan Management at Madison Park Village on the new renovations. Armed with a certificate in interior design and an innate sense of style, she brought beauty to every corner she touched—whether building a stone path by hand or arranging a room worthy of *Better Homes & Gardens*. Her flair was unmistakable, her creativity boundless. Bonita passions reflected every color of her personality: stylish yet grounded; adventurous yet serene. She adored shopping for clothes and had an eye for fashion that never dimmed—a signature presence wherever she walked. She fished by quiet waters, hiked wild trails, camped beneath stars (though left the gardening to others), danced to songs like “Just Got Paid” or “It Wasn’t Me,” traveled when the wind called—and always made time for seafood feasts featuring crabs or lobsters… two or three, Four… maybe more! A devout Catholic throughout her life, Bonnie raised her children in faith at Warwick Street Catholic Church in Boston’s South End—a spiritual home that anchored generations.
She now joins in eternal rest those who went before her: parents Mary L. Anderson Burrelle and George “Guiseppe Ricardo” Burrelle Sr.; sisters Eleanora, Delores, Jeannie, and Patricia; brother George “Rick” Burrelle Jr.; and partner James P. Moore. As the last surviving middle-born child among twelve siblings, best friend Joanne Waters. Bonnie reunites with loved ones who shaped the roots from which she grew. Bonnita shared many cherished years with James P. Moore, her beloved partner of 22 years and father to Jamie, until his passing. She also maintained a lifelong bond with Bernard Williams—best friend and father to Neely and Corey—a connection marked by love, mutual respect and endurance further proof of Bonita's lasting impact on those around her.

Bonita Louise “Bonnie” Burrelle will be remembered as a woman whose humor cut through silence like sunlight through clouds; whose style turned sidewalks into runways; whose love wrapped around others like velvet; firm yet soft—with grace stitched into every moment shared.
