Carl Wingard Obituary

'Hezekiah Sincere Muhammad' Wingard

With gratitude to Allah for the blessing of his life, and with hearts filled with both sorrow and love, we celebrate the life and legacy of Carl 'Hezekiah Sincere Muhammad, who departed this life on August 11, 2026 at the age of 62.

Carl was a man of uncommon determination. He possessed a quiet strength that revealed itself not in words, but in his unwavering resolve to face life's challenges head-on. No matter the obstacle before him, Carl approached each new day with the mindset that giving up was never an option. He believed in working through adversity with grit, perseverance, and discipline. Even when circumstances were difficult, he continued to press forward, meeting each challenge with courage and a steadfast commitment to keep moving ahead. His resilience became one of the defining characteristics of his life and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

A highly experienced CDL subcontractor, Carl built a reputation as a skilled and dependable professional. Throughout his career, he hauled virtually every type of freight imaginable the only exception being livestock. His expertise extended far beyond commercial trucking. Carl possessed an extraordinary mechanical aptitude and the rare ability to master nearly any piece of transportation or construction equipment he operated. Whether behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer or at the controls of heavy machinery, he approached every job with precision, professionalism, confidence, and excellence. His work ethic and capabilities earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

Above all, Carl's greatest devotion was to his faith. He held a profound love for Master Fard Muhammad, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, and the Nation of Islam. His commitment was deeply rooted and unwavering. Carl was not a man who expressed himself through sentimentality or outward displays of emotion. He was, however, fiercely loyal. Those who knew him understood that his actions spoke louder than words. He stood firmly on his convictions, remained faithful to his beliefs, and carried himself with the discipline, dignity, and commitment of a soldier. Through every season of life, he remained steadfast in his service, his principles, and his dedication to the Nation of Islam until the very end.

Although Carl's demeanor could be reserved, those blessed to know him understood the depth of his character. His loyalty was unquestionable, and his life also included personal struggles that at times affected his relationships and created pain within his family. Those who loved him also remember that, even amid these challenges, there were moments when his better qualities his intelligence, his humor, and his capacity for care were evident. He was a man of complexity, shaped by both strength and struggle, and his journey reflected the difficult realities of human imperfection.

One of Carl's greatest joys was his family. He loved his children deeply and was proud of each of them. In his own way, he desired to leave them an example of perseverance, hard work, and resilience. The values he lived by determination, integrity, and steadfastness remain part of the legacy he leaves to them. His love will continue to live on through their lives and through the generations that follow.

Carl leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children, Sharifa, Quiana, Keisha, Carl 'Omar', Jaqueline, Jabreel, Ra'ees, Jaleel, Alliyah, Raheem, Kharimah, and his cherished 26 grandchildren. His brothers Decca, Jamal and Daryl. His sister Annette and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and dear friends; and countless brothers, sisters, and in the Nation of Islam whose lives were enriched by his presence.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Willie and Exie (Pruitt) Wingard; his siblings, Quasim and Willie.

Though Carl's earthly journey has come to an end, the example of his perseverance, faith, loyalty, and unwavering determination will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. His legacy is not measured merely by the miles he drove or the machinery he mastered, but by the strength of his convictions, the consistency of his character, and the lives he touched along the way.

May Allah be pleased with his striving, grant him His Infinite Mercy, and bless all who mourn his passing with comfort, peace, and strength.

Surely we belong to Allah, and surely to Him we return.
