Carlos Amado Obituary

With heavy hearts and deep love, we celebrate the life of Carlos Amado (Carlitos/Xema), born on November 2nd, 1954, on the island of Fogo, Cape Verde. Carlos was a man whose warmth, humor, and loyal spirit made him a joy to all who knew him.

Xema was the beloved son of Catarina Mafalda Amado and Eduino Monteiro. He shared strong family bonds with his siblings Victor Amado (Manecas), Jose Amado (Loly), João Amado (Miky), and 16 loving brothers and sisters on his father’s side. To his family, he was a friendly brother, a funny uncle, and a comforting presence who brought laughter wherever he went.

He was the proud father of Carla Amado and Carmen Amado, and a devoted grandfather to three beautiful grandchildren who lit up his world. As a father, he tried his best—his love was genuine, his intentions sincere, and his heart always pointed toward his family.

His memory will live on in the love he shared, the stories he leaves behind, and the laughter he brought into the world. As man of kindness, humor, and quiet strength, he carried a heart of gold, and a joyful spirit. We will miss him deeply, but we remain grateful for every moment we were blessed to share with him.
