Charlene Marian Medina was born on May 22, 1941 in Brockton, Massachusetts, to the late Joseph Duarte, Sr. and Martha (Pina, Monteiro) Duarte.
She graduated from Brockton High School in 1960. She lived her life in loving service to others and ultimately decided to stay at home as a devoted mother and grandmother. Charlene was a member and Co-Founder of The Lighthouse Of Faith In Christ Jesus, A City Mission. She was active in the church for 20 years, helping with the Youth Minisink group and as a Church Treasurer. She also worked for several years as a Nurse's Aide and in meal preparation services for nursing homes in Brockton. Charlene also dedicated her time as a transporter for Professional Family Childcare. One of her most memorable gifts was her superb baking, an art she learned from her mother. Charlene leaves to mourn her daughters Sharon Duarte-White (husband, Howard White) and Victoria Ann Medina, her sons Wayne "Skip" Wesley McGee (wife, Christine McGee) and John "Jay" Joseph McGee (partner, Carlo Caramanna), her sister Priscilla "Pat" Gomes, and she proceeds her late siblings Madeline "Betty" Duarte Morgan, Mae Duarte Monteiro, Joseph Duarte, Jr., Eugene "Gene" Duarte, Joseph Dias Monteiro, Claire Monteiro and her sister/niece Rev.
