Claudino R Brandao

Claudino (Olimpio) Brandao, age 72, passed away peacefully on January 19th, 2023, in Boston, Massachusetts, surrounded by loved ones.

Claudino was born on August 18th, 1950, in Piquinho, Fogo, to Guillermo De Pina and Maria (Natin) Rodrigues Brandao. He joined the military and spent time in Angola before finding his way to the United States. After establishing himself, he dedicated his time and effort to helping friends and family immigrate and build better lives. His mother, Natin, gave him a strong foundation and a big heart, which he carried over to his life and everything he did. He spent his life serving people and carrying on the mission of his patron Saint, St. Sebastian.

Claudino was a loving father and grandfather and a wonderful friend to everyone around him. He always knew how to make you laugh and brought happiness to everyone around him. He enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, singing, watching soccer, riding horses, and spending time with his friends and family. 

Claudino was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo and Maria, and several siblings. He is survived by his 16 siblings: Leia, Lilila, Tuia, Pedro, Antonio, Nandinho, Mundin, Lulucha, Luiza, Nocu, Totinha, Zézé, Leontina, Lulucha M, Edgar, and Nina; 12 children: Lola, Danny, Nely, Paulo, Adilson, Tetelo, Claudia, Maura, Telmo, Natin, Akira, and Maiara; 24 grandchildren; and numerous cherished family and friends. 

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation service anytime from 5 PM to 8 PM on Friday, January 27th, at St. Peter’s Parish-Dorchester, located at 311 Bowdoin st. Boston, MA 02122. The funeral mass will be at the same location on the following day, Saturday, January 28th, at 10 AM. The burial will be at New Calvary Cemetery, located at 800 Harvard St, Boston, MA 02126. The repass will be at the St. Peter’s Teen Center, located at 278 Bowdoin St, Dorchester, MA 02125.
