Dalvin Alves Barreto

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dalvin Alves Barreto, who departed this life on September 1, 2026, in Springfield, Massachusetts, at the young age of 28.

Dalvin was born on May 5, 1998, in Boston, Massachusetts, to his loving parents, Amilcar Alves and Maria Barreto. From an early age, Dalvin was surrounded by the love of family, and throughout his life, the bonds he shared with those closest to him remained deeply important.

Dalvin graduated from high school and went on to build a career through his dedication and strong work ethic. He spent his working days with Clean Tech Construction Company, where he served as a crew lead. He took pride in his work and the responsibilities entrusted to him, earning the respect of those who had the opportunity to work alongside him.

Although Dalvin’s time with us was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain forever in the hearts of his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but those who knew and loved him will continue to carry his memory with them through the stories, laughter, and special moments they shared.

Dalvin leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his beloved parents, Amilcar Alves and Maria Barreto; his siblings, Adalziza Campbell, Sonia Vera Barreto, Carlos Cabral, Osvaldino Cabral, and Joao Nais Cabral; along with a host of extended family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

As his family mourns this tremendous loss, they will also remember and celebrate the 28 years of life, love, and memories Dalvin shared with them. Though he is no longer physically present, the impact he made on the lives of those around him will never be forgotten. May his memory continue to bring comfort, and may he rest peacefully in eternal rest.

Funeral Arrangements

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Dalvin’s viewing on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at George Lopes Funeral Home, 647 Main Street, Brockton, Massachusetts.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Dalvin’s life will take place on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 E. Main Street, Brockton, Massachusetts.

Following the Funeral Mass, Dalvin will be laid to rest at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl Street, Brockton, Massachusetts.
