It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Danniell D. Vick, age 54, who left us on October 30, 2025. Born on November 24, 1970, in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the loving son of the late Donnell Strong and Mary Ann Vick who have preceded him in death.
Danniell, affectionately known as Dee Dee, was a proud member of Local 103 IBEW, started his electrical career in 1995. He was a devoted husband to Gloriana Vick, with whom he shared a passion for helping others through Glory's Angels nonprofit, providing sustenance and comfort to the homeless. Danniell was a kind-hearted soul who brought joy to those around him.
Danniell had a zest for life that was infectious. He enjoyed hanging out with friends, riding scooters, shooting pool, and playing cards. A lover of sports cars, he was known as the life of the party, often seen dancing and listening to music. His favorite color was royal blue, and his playful sayings like "meatball head" and "it's a V thang, you wouldn't understand it" will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
Danniell's kindness, laughter, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to family, friends, and community.
He was the beloved brother of Gerald Vick, Melissa Vick, Tonya Rice Strong Armstrong, Lonnel Bellamy, and Cornelle Brent. Danniell cherished his family, including his children: Shakirah Huggins, Deandra Huggins, Trashina Lofton, Stephanie Adams, Danielle Vick-Adams (Alex Pierre-Louis), Lanisha Vick-Adams, M’Kayla Vick, Brianna Spencer, Destiny Vick, Elani Vick, Donnell Vick-Adams, Corey Robertson, Christian Spencer, Stephanie Walker, Delayah Collins, and Hannah Collins.
Danniell was a devoted grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter through his grandchildren: Samya, Zamiyah, Messias, Shawn, Kayden, Journey, Romaine, Princess, Lavern, Lawaun, Odey, and Dela, Jymel were a source of immense joy and pride for him.
Danniell also leaves behind is Beatrice Vick, grandmother who loved, cared, and raised him, uncles Robert, James and Charlie, aunts Lucy and Pauline and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rest in peace, Danniell D. Vick. You will always be remembered with love.
