Darell Hampton Obituary

Darell was born in August 9, 1977, to Roy and Dora Hampton (Carter) in Stoughton, MA.  He grew up in Brockton and had a rough childhood but turned his life around as a young adult and was truly a self-made man. He went from a young man with not many cares to the most caring and loving husband and father in the world. He was truly a blessing to everyone he came across. He could light up any room with just his energy, and he never missed an opportunity to make someone smile, no matter what he was going through. Darell took nothing and turned it to something, and he was quick to show you how to do it! He could fix everything. A car, your house, or even your tears and sadness. He was truly a rock for his family and friends. No words can describe how important and influential he was on everyone he had a relationship with. The best husband, Dad, Uncle, Brother, Friend, Worker, Comedian and Storyteller around. Everyone who ever knew him was proud of him, and for good reason. He truly is a blessing to everyone who knew him, and no bigger blessing than to his Family! He put all his time and focus on his kids and made sure they knew he loved them. He always came home and laughed with his wife and was so proud of the life he built with her.

He leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Jodi Hampton (Graham).  His children Tristin, Lauren, Damian, Tanaiyah, Journey & Darell Jr.  Loving Papa to Brayden, Ma’Siah, Ka’layah & Rylan Mae.  Siblings Lawanda, Shanetta & Allen Carter.  He had many nieces and nephews who he adored, but had a very special relationship with his nephew Shazzy who he helped raise and his niece Zelly who spent every weekend at his house.  He had a brother/sister relationship with his favorite cousin Mireya Heard.  Lifelong best friend to Carlos Ortiz and he could always depend on his wife’s best friend and his “adopted” sister Megan Dupree.
