In September 1980, at the age of 41, Darnley made the journey from Barbados to Boston, Massachusetts to be with his beloved family who immigrated to Boston, Massachusetts in December of 1977.

Upon arrival in Boston, he was employed at Seaver Street Liquor Store in Dorchester until he accepted a job in the Environmental Services Department at the Children's Hospital in Boston where he retired in 2019 after 28 years of employment. He was a dedicated, friendly, and dependable employee. He loved his job and enjoyed his daily interactions with co-workers, patients and visitors.

The Adams and Lewis families would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Atrius Health Kenmore. We appreciate the compassion, concern and patience shown towards Darnley as he battled a long and difficult illness.

Darnley's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, extended relatives, and his many friends whose lives he touched with kindness and generosity. He will be dearly missed by all.
