Darryl Wynn Moore

Darryl Wynn Moore 58, a U.S. Army Veteran and longtime resident of Dorchester (Boston), passed away unexpectedly on February 14, 2021. 

Darryl was born October 17, 1962, in Boston Ma., son of the late John C. Seay Sr., survived by his mother, Deborah E. Seay, of Boston, and three brother’s, John C Seay Jr. and his wife Christine Seay of Peabody, Maurice L. Seay I, and his wife Barbara Seay of Haverhill, and Ronald Knight of Boston.

Darryl was raised and educated in Boston, a graduate of English High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army, Infantry Branch. Most recently, Darryl graduated from Le Cordon Bleu, College of Culinary Arts to pursue his passion and creativity as a chef. He went on to share his love for cooking at various restaurants around Boston. 

He was a loving son, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother who enjoyed cooking, watching his favorite Boston sports teams, music, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his mother and brother’s, he is survived by his daughter, Dawanna Moore and his three grandchildren, Lauren A. Wadey, Lakeya A. Eason, and Lamya A. Dietz of Georgia,  whom he was very proud of. He is also survived by his ex-wife Stacy Bailey, and children Amir and Ariel Bailey of Stoneham, his nieces and nephews, Maurice L. Seay II, Devin J. Peters, Alexis J. Seay, Janaya Seay, Devin Seay, Jayson Seay, Jonathan Hunt, and grandnephew Davien L. Seay.

Gathering of family and friends will be held at 12pm, Thursday, February 25, 2021, at the George Lopes Funeral Home in Mattapan, followed by a memorial service at 1pm.
