Domingas Gonzalez

Domingas Gonzalez, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, in Brockton, Massachusetts.

Born on April 29, 1950, in Fogo, Cabo Verde, Domingas was the loving daughter of the late Antonio and Isabel Lopes. She carried with her the strength, warmth, and resilience of her homeland throughout her life.

Domingas spent her working years as a dedicated stitcher at a factory, where her hard work, skill, and commitment were evident to all who knew her.

Above all, Domingas was devoted to her family. She leaves behind her loving children, treasured grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will miss her gentle spirit, kindness, and unwavering love. Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at George Lopes Funeral Home, 647 Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301.

A Funeral Mass will take place the following day, Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 E. Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 163 N. Cary Street, Brockton, Massachusetts.

Domingas Gonzalez will be remembered for her hardworking nature, her quiet strength, and the deep love she shared with her family. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered always.
