Domingas Fragoso Lopes

Domingas Fragoso Lopes, age 96, peacefully entered eternal rest on June 4, 2026, in Brockton, Massachusetts, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in September 1929 in Praia, Cabo Verde, Domingas was the cherished daughter of the late Manuel Fragoso and Felismina Mendes. She was the devoted and loving wife of the late Armando Lopes, with whom she shared a life centered on faith, family, and devotion.

Domingas was a loving and dedicated mother to her eight children: Daniela, Mario Cesar, Antonio, Arlette, Benidita, Filomena, Maria Leonor, and Ana Maria. Her greatest joy in life was caring for her family and ensuring that those she loved were always supported, comforted, and encouraged. Her home was a place of warmth, hospitality, and unconditional love.

She was especially proud of her growing family and leaves behind a lasting legacy through her 31 beloved grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love.

Domingas will be remembered for her gentle spirit, strength, selflessness, and deep devotion to her family. Her love and guidance will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at George Lopes Funeral Home, 647 Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 E. Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301.

Interment will immediately follow at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton.
