Doris Lee Huston was born March 11,1938 to Ward and Stella Urby in Tylertown, Mississippi. She was the middle child of 5 children (Melledee, Bluford, Will, and Lillie) who preceded her in death.
Doris received her education in Tylertown, Mississippi. Doris confessed to Christ at a young age at Brandon Bay Church. She moved to Detroit in 1957 and then to Boston in 1959 to continue her education at Roxbury Community College. During that time, she attended multiple churches until finding her church home in1984, when she joined Morning Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop John Borders. She joined the Missionaries and after many years became President. She also served for 20 years on the Nursing Unit at Morning Star Baptiste Church.
Doris was employed at Havard Community Health Plan for 31 years, starting as a clerk in the Healthcare Department, and then promoted to working in the Management of Financial Operations.
She was united in matrimony to Stanley Huston in 1963.
The Life and Memory of our Loved One will always be her Loving and Caring Ways.
She leaves to mourn her daughter Angela Urby, son Stanley Huston Jr. (Cheryl), two grandsons; Paul Sampson (Jessica) and Gerald Urby, two great granddaughters; Danasia and Lauryn Sampson and great grandson, Michael Urby, and godson Kareem Ashu, all residing in Massachusetts. She also leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family; Isabella, Maya, Imani Ashu.
The family would also like to send a special thank you to her physical therapist Brenda of 11 years and visiting nurse Cherie of 10 years.
