Doris M Taylor was born on June 13,1949 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Helen Adger and General Lee Carr.
Doris with her husband Willie Taylor re-located to Boston, Massachusetts and continued to grow their family. Doris wore many hats during her life. She was a daycare provider, an advocate for children and she also worked as a CNA and a Recovery Specialist. Through all this, Doris was able to obtain three degrees. One from Roxbury Community College, Northeastern University and UMass Boston.
Doris enjoyed the simple things in life, like a good book to read, and a cup of coffee and just being around her family. Her personality was one that made people navigate toward her. Her kind and generous heart and the way she made sure everyone was taking care is why she is loved by so many.
Doris leaves behind Willie Taylor, her son Walter and daughter Carolyn. Her grandchildren Christopher, Antoine, Matthew, Shakyla, Richard, Marquis, Anishia, Dasean, Shaquana, Aaron, Akira, and Makiyah. Three Goddaughters, LaShaunda, Sheila, and Jessica, and a host of nieces, nephews, 27 great grandchildren, and friends. Doris is preceded in death by her grandmother Henrietta Howard, mother Helen Adger, brother W.A. Adger, sisters Diane Adger and Carolyn Alston, daughter Cynthia Pope, son Willie Taylor, niece Jaqueline Adger, nephew Curtis Tillman, great nephews Tacary Jones and Calvin Boykins, and great niece Kaiyah Bailey and Aylani Lee Faith Wiggins.
