Eduardo Teixeira was born on May 24, 1934, in Fogo, Cape Verde, to the late Raul Monteiro and Isabel Teixeira.

Eduardo Teixeira leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Idalina Teixeira, children Maria "Vicky" Helena Pina, Andre "Nobo" Teixeira, Isabel Teixeira, Camilo Teixeira, Germano "G-Dog" Teixeira, Idelmira "Dee" Teixeira, Mariazinha Teixeira, Laura Teixeira, Eduardo Teixeira, Jose "Ze" Teixeira, and a host of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
