Elvira (Barbosa) Depina

Elvira Depina, born on October 4, 1945, in Fogo, Cabo Verde, peacefully passed away on August 28, 2025.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Jose Barbosa and Ana D. Barbosa.

A devoted homemaker, Elvira dedicated her life to caring for her family and home with love, strength and grace.

She was preceded in death by her cherished husband Manuel S. Depina.

Elvira leaves behind her loving children, grandchildren and along with a host of extended family and friends who will deeply miss her warmth, wisdom and unwavering love.

Visitation services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5–8 PM at George Lopes Funeral Home, 647 Main Street, Brockton, MA.

A funeral Mass will follow on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10 AM at St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 E Main Street, Brockton, MA.

Interment will take place immediately after at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street, Brockton, MA.

Elvira's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
