Ester Semedo Monteiro

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ester Semedo Monteiro, who departed this life on October 3, 2025, in Brockton, Massachusetts at the age of 54.

Born on March 17, 1971, in Santiago, Cape Verde, Ester was the beloved daughter of the late Antonio Monteiro and Bianina Semedo.

A woman of quiet strength, deep love, and unwavering dedication to her family, Ester spent her days as a devoted homemaker, nurturing not only her children, but all who entered her home with warmth, wisdom, and boundless care.

Ester’s life was centered around her family, and her greatest pride was being a mother. She leaves behind her beloved children: Willy Semedo Tavares, Jose Jorge Semedo Duarte, and Leanne Semedo Gomes. Her presence in their lives was a guiding light, her sacrifices, compassion, and love will forever be remembered and cherished.

She is also survived by her siblings, and a host of many loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will miss her gentle spirit, her kind smile, and the unshakeable love she gave so freely.

Though her journey on this earth has come to a close, Ester’s legacy of love, family, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Wake hours to honor Ester’s life will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at George Lopes Funeral Home, 647 Main Street, Brockton, MA.

Ester will be laid to rest in her homeland of Praia, Cabo Verde, a place that remained close to her heart throughout her life.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
