Eva Phenix-Austin

Eva Lorraine Phenix Austin was born in Boston Massachusetts on March 4, 1954.  

She was the seventh daughter of Geneva and London Phenix (both deceased). She was educated in Boston and worked in the health care field for many years.  During the pandemic she worked in the community to aid people with Covid testing, vaccinations and preventative care.

Eva was married to the love of her life, Richard Calvin Austin, for 27 years.  Together they stood side by side through thick and thin.  Her favorite activity was shopping, walking and traveling.  

Eva was the mother of one son, Vondell Phenix, who proceeded her in death in 2021.  She was also proceeded in death by two sisters, Alba Jean McDaniel and Angela Phenix.

Eva is survived by her husband Richard Austin, sisters: Lillie Lewis (Atlanta, Georgia), Patricia Phenix (Boston, MA), Linda Phenix (Boston, MA), Frances Phenix (Boston, MA) and Margaret (Myrtle Beach, SC, born of a previous union of her father, London Phenix).  She has a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Eva will be truly missed but not forgotten.
