Evangeline Boston Obituary

Evangeline Caroline Boston (née Jardin), aged 96, passed away on November 5, 2024, in Framingham, Massachusetts. Born on January 24, 1924, in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, to the late Carolina Andrade and Franksisco Jardin, she was a cherished member of her community and a beloved figure within her extensive family.

"Evangeline" derives from the Greek words "eu" (good) and "angelos" (messenger), symbolizing a messenger of good news. This name suits Evangeline perfectly, as she spread love, kindness and warmth to all who knew her.

Evangeline dedicated her life to caring for her loved ones. Though she didn't pursue a traditional career, her selfless devotion to her family was her greatest accomplishment. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Every Sunday at 10 a.m., Evangeline would faithfully tune into the McGee Church service on her radio, finding solace and strength in her faith. As radios became outdated, she lovingly held onto memories of this special tradition.

Evangeline was Predeceased by her Parents: Carolina Andrade and Franksisco Jardin. Devoted husband: Nobie Boston; Children: Carol Boston, Cecil Jardin, and Sarah Boston; Son-in-law: Gene Copeland; Grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Lawrence, the twins. Kwameisha, Makhi Boston, and Terry Boston Jr.

Evangeline is survived by her sister: Mary (Aunt Bea) Depina, Brother: Frank (Uncle Buddy) Jardin, Children: Nobie Boston Jr and wife Lauretta Boston,  Franksisco (Franny) Boston; Dexter Harvey; Barbara Copeland; Jacquie Boston; Tanya Boston; A host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family extends deepest gratitude to everyone who loved and cared for Evangeline. Evangeline was known as the Universal Grandmother. She had a remarkable gift. Anyone who met her became her grandchild. Her love knew no boundaries. Strangers became family. Friends became kin.

Evangeline's life was marked by her resilience, unconditional love and deep bonds with her family. Her memory will be cherished and honored by all who knew her.
