Fannie Louise Trusty

Fannie Louise Trusty, affectionately known as “Weezy” was born in Lawrenceville, Virginia on December 9, 1929 to the late Willie A. and Mary M. Claiborne. Fannie departed this life on Friday, April 11, 2025.

Fannie Louise was the second born in a family of seven brothers and sisters. Five siblings preceeded her in death. There is one surviving siblings, her sister, Mary McKinnon.

Fannie Louise was married to the late Charlie V. Trusty who preceded her in death in 1988. Fannie was a homemaker and a loving and dedicated mother to her ten children. Fannie relocated to Boston, MA in the early 1970’s where she remained throughout her life. To know Weezy was to love her. She took pride in her huge family, immediate and extended family, near and far. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch and talking with her neighbors and friends. She enjoyed a good laugh, her family time, having guest stop by to visit, cooking, and great conversations. Throughout her life, “Weezy” was known for her fashions and always dressed the part. With a heart full of compassion and unwavering spirit of generosity, she touched the lives of all who knew her.

Fannie Louise leaves to mourn, daughters; Judith Edwards and Brenda Gailliard of Richmond, VA; sons; Donald “Donnie” Trusty, Ronald “Kent” Trusty, both of Boston, MA, Michael Trusty (Lisa) of Rhode Island, Rodney Trusty of Fall River, MA. There were four children that preceded her in death; Charles “Butch” Trusty, Larry Trusty (Elfie), Joseph Trusty and Gerald Trusty (Angela), all of Boston, MA; a host of thirty-two grandchildren; forty-four great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and dedicated friends. A special thank you to her friends on “Floyd Street” and her dedicated caretakers.
