Fernanda Cooper Obituary

Fernanda Lamars Cooper was born on May 1st, 1962 to William T. Cooper and Yvonne E. Cooper in Boston Massachusetts. Fernanda graduated from Roxbury High School. During his high school years he played football for the Boston Braves. Fernanda was a member of #3 Regent Street Church of God in Christ of Roxbury, MA. During his teenage years, he sang with the Young Adult Choir and Jurisdiction #1 Mass State Choir.

Fernanda worked as a security guard, and as a facilities worker with his uncle Rev. Thomas V. Cross, Sr.

Fernanda enjoyed listening to music and entertaining his family using comedy. He spent long hours in the evening making jokes and making up stories (lies) to make his family laugh. He also enjoyed eating big family meals on Sundays prepared by his family as well as his favorite chocolate cake. There was one occasion when he took it upon himself to make chitterlings. Much to no one’s surprise, he burned up the whole pot of chitterlings. He was known to bring friends home on Sunday to enjoy Sunday dinner and desert.

On many occasions as a child, Fernanda would bring home a friend in need to his family. He would take his clothes and anyone else’s in the house and give them to his friends. Fernanda loved animals. The family always had pets in the home from Fernanda. There were many pets including snakes, turtles, dogs, and lizards.
