George Halfkenny

George Halfkenny, 54, of Boston, Massachusetts sadly passed away on June 19, 2025.
George S. Halfkenny was born on October 22, 1970, to the late LaVerne Halfkenny and Joseph Harold Paulding of Boston, Massachusetts. He is preceded in death by his sister Jewell Farrow.

George worked as an outreach worker, helping the youth and many other people throughout the cities of Cambridge and Boston. He was also a co-founder of Thrive Communities of Massachusetts in Lowell and made many friendships along the way.

He was known for his funny and humorous ways and enjoyed the company of his friends, family, and associates. He also enjoyed cooking and making people laugh. If you knew George, you knew his smile would lighten up a whole room. He will be truly missed.

George is survived by his three children who will cherish his memories Markell Berberena, Jorell Berberena, and Shanece Berberena. His 7 grandchildren: Jevaun, Jayvian, Janesi, Adriana, Trey, Brooklyn, and Peyton. His niece Christina Jones and his sister Crystal Webster. And his beloved close cousins Serema, Prema, and Peter. And a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
