Henrietta B. "Hank" Thomas-Sheffield, (86), of Poinciana, FL, passed away on April 14, 2026.
Henrietta, loving also known as “Hank” was a woman of gentle grace and quiet strength, whose presence could be felt even before she entered a room. She had a way of making people feel
seen and valued, with just a look, a few thoughtful words, or a warm smile.
From an early age, Henritta’s intelligence set her apart-she was invited to join Mensa, a testament to sharp and curious mind. But what truly defined her was not just what she knew, but how she enjoyed the excitement of the game, shared it. Teaching and guiding the next generation were one of her greatest passions. She believed deeply in the power of knowledge and took pride in encouraging others to learn, grow, and believe in themselves.
Henrietta was also an avid football fan who enjoyed the excitement of the game, often cheering passionately and sharing those moments with family. Whether watching a big game or talking
about her favorite teams, it was another way she connected with the people she loved.
She found peace and joy in reading, often losing herself in books and ideas that reflected her thoughtful nature. More than anything, she cherished her family. Whether through quiet moments, shared stories, or simply being present, she created a sense of love and belonging that will live on the hearts of those who knew her.
She survives her beloved spouse, Frederick Sheffield, along with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her beloved sisters and a host of nieces and nephews. Her legacy of wisdom, kindness, and devotion will never be forgotten.
