Herbert Glover, Sr. Was born on February 16, 1945, in Pensacola, Florida to Harry and Doris Glover.
He attended Booker T. Washington High School in Pensacola before relocating to Boston, Massachusetts.
A true jack of all trades, Herbert worked in a variety of Roles, including at the Necco Candy Factory and the Roxbury Multicultural Center as a Community Organizer. Later, he became an entrepreneur, founding his own Business, Glover II Associates Transportation Company.
Herbert also worked as a caddy for professional golfers, where he discovered his passion for golf. He became an avid golfer and enjoyed the game for many years. In addition to golf, he loved driving and traveling, always ready for the next adventure.
Later in life, Herbert dedicated himself to his faith becoming one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 10, 1980. He served faithfully as an Auxiliary Pioneer, Ministerial Servant, full-time Pioneer, Ministerial Servant, full time Pioneer and Elder.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 48 years, Angelle Glover, and his four children, Keitha Brewington, Cheryl Bridges of Maryland, Herbert Glover, Jr. (Lisa) of Taunton and Tresa Glover-Smith (Kevin) of Brockton. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Sandra Quinerly of Hyde Park, eight grandchildren and five great– grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Herbert’s life was marked by hard work, love for his family, a generous spirit and unwavering faith. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
