Honorio Fernandes passed away unexpectedly on Friday on November 8, 2024. He was born on January 26, 1958. He was 66. He was affectionately known as "Tony", "Noni" to his friends and family, and "Vice Grip" to his military friends.
Tony served in the Army for over 25 years, retiring with the rank of Sergeant (SGT). His dedication to service was only matched by his commitment to the Brockton Public Schools, where he worked since March 2014. He was loved by his "school family".
A man with a vibrant personality, Tony was known for his kind heart, willingness to help others, and a remarkable sense of humor. He could light up any room and was rarely seen without a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee in hand. His hobbies included fishing, working on cars, and riding his motorcycle. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren, always eager to partake in activities that brought them joy.
Tony is survived by his mother, Matilde Dos Santos; his children, Sean Harris and Elizabeth Pina; his siblings, Rosa and Oliver and his wife Carmen, three grandchildren, a loving aunt and uncle, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
