The children Teresa Rodrigues (Lulucha), José Manuel Moreno (Djosa), Maria Cecília Tavares (Cecilia), João Moreno Tavares, Maria Helena Fernandes (Lena), sister Teresa Fernandes, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members fulfill the painful duty of communicating to other relatives, friends and people in their relations the death of their late sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother,

ISABEL GOMES FERNANDES, better known as Zabel de Achadinha de Cima,

occurred on Monday, May 11, 2026.

A hard-working and winning woman, whose presence deeply marked all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

His memory will remain alive in every gesture of kindness, in every memory shared and in every heart he touched throughout his life. His legacy of love will continue to guide and inspire family and friends forever.

The children residing in the United States will be receiving their condolences on Saturday, May 16, at the George Lopes Funeral Home, located at 647 Main Street, Brockton, Massachusetts.

The funeral will take place in Cape Verde, on a day and time to be communicated in due course.

In this moment of pain and longing, the family thanks, with deep gratitude, all the expressions of affection, solidarity and comfort received.
