Jeffrey Tagger

Jeffrey Tagger Sr., 52, of Brockton, MA, passed away unexpectedly on April 29th, 2023.

Jeffrey Sr., who was known to many as Big Jeff and Jazz, was born in Brockton, MA to Karen and Jacob Tagger Sr. on March 22,1971. As a teenager, Jeff enjoyed his time working, playing sports where he excelled in baseball, and spending time with his family and friends. As Jeff got older, he dedicated his life to supporting youth development in sports and coached several generations of athletes in the community. Jeff was a family man who wanted to provide opportunities not only for his children, but also other young kids and older folks who needed his grace at the time.

Jeff is survived by his two children, Shawna and Jeffrey Jr., along with his two granddaughters, Jade and Juliana. He is survived by his sister, Darlene, brothers Jacob Jr., Elgin, Larry, David and Daughter-in-Law Karla. Jeff is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Jeff was a simple man who had an easy-going personality and was adored by many. Jeff was very funny whether he was making jokes or telling stories of the past which he loved to do. He enjoyed attending basketball games in the area along with fishing, playing cards, hanging out with friends, and living life to the fullest. Jeff was all about fun, family, and friends. He lived his life for “today” because he believed that tomorrow is never promised and that you never know when it is your time to go. Throughout his lifetime, Jeff created lasting memories with so many people who had the chance to know him through one personal experience or another. He positively impacted our community in a variety of ways. He will be truly missed. Jeff will forever remain alive in our hearts. May his soul Rest in Peace in Heaven.

Viewing services for Jeffrey Tagger will take place at the George Lopes Funeral Home, 647 Main Street, Brockton, MA with a starting time of 4:00PM-7:00PM on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

Cremation service will take place at St. Michaels crematory.
