Jimmy W. Kelley was born on August 10, 1966 in Boston, Massachusetts, the youngest child in the blended family of Annie Lou (Drayton) Kelley and William R. Kelley, Jr. (Deceased). He departed this life on May 26, 2026 at the age of 59.
He attended Boston Public Schools and graduated in 1983 from Madison Park High School, where he was known as a competitive football player. After high school, he pursued his interest as a news camera operator. He subsequently turned his interest to other professions, including working at Toys ‘R Us and in later years establishing himself in the food industry, dedicating himself to kitchen help - most often as a dishwasher, where he last worked for Apex Entertainment in Marlborough, MA. Through the toil and grind of being a dishwasher, Jimmy’s colleagues quickly became drawn to his indomitable, jubilant spirit, which earned him service awards from his employers. This carried over into his personal life regardless of the struggles and difficulties he faced. When you saw Jimmy, he always had a big smile on his face - ready to tell you a joke, rhyme, or riddle, and every now and then a Bernie Mac imitation. Let us not forget, Jimmy was also the king of making cornbread.
Jimmy leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his mother Annie Lou Kelley; 4 children: Ashley Kelley, Jamie Toler, Tiana Kelley, and Michael Christian, whom he raised as his own; 6 siblings: Joseph Drayton (Tonia), Denise Andrews, Debra Andrews, Phillip Andrews, Marie Andrews, Steven Kelley (Tracey), as well as 2 grandchildren - Azzaria and Amir, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Jimmy was preceded in death by the love of his life - Tina Anderson, his father - William R. Kelley, Jr., his brother - Norman Drayton, and sister - Janet Drayton.
