Joao Fernandes Afonso passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton Massachusetts on November 13, 2023 at the age of 103.
Born in Cabo Verde on the island of Fogo. He watched his family of generational times live and adore him as the years transcended him journey.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather to many and loving family member and friend to al those who knew him.
Joao will be remembered for his constant strength despite his age and his constant ability to stay healthy up until his brief illness.
He will be remembered by his children, family and others.
