Jonathan “Joe” Frazier, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and community member, was born on August 17, 1961, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late John Lee Frazier and Priscilla James Frazier.
A proud Boston native, Joe was known for his infectious personality, humor, impeccable style, and ability to make everyone feel like a lifelong friend. A man of deep faith, he was an active member of Jubilee Christian Center and believed strongly in hope, compassion, and second chances.
Joe was passionate about helping others and founded Joe’s Hope Project to support formerly incarcerated individuals as they rebuilt their lives and reconnected with their families and communities. Above all, he cherished his family and was incredibly proud of his children, Sheyvone, JaQuan, and Chris, and adored his granddaughter, Olivia.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Johnnie Mae Weathers, and his brother Simeon Frazier. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, granddaughter, siblings, beloved aunt Lillabel, former wives, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, cherished friends, church family, and loved ones.
His laughter, kindness, faith, and genuine love for people touched countless lives. His legacy of love, service, and hope will live on through everyone he inspired and the many lives he touched.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
