With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of Justina Gomes Da Rosa, who departed this life on July 30, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts. She was born on November 6, 1951, in Fogo, Cabo Verde, to her beloved parents, Francisco Gomes Da Rosa and Lorenca Fernandes Da Rosa.
Justina was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy came from caring for her family and creating a loving home. Through her kindness, strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion, she touched the lives of all who knew her. She found fulfillment in the simple moments spent with those she loved most, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and unconditional love.
Family was the center of Justina's life. She cherished every moment shared with her children and grandchildren, whose lives were forever enriched by her guidance, warmth, and endless affection. Her gentle spirit, caring heart, and comforting presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Justina now rests in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved husband, Antonio Santos Cardoso, as well as her loving parents, who welcomed her home with open arms.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her beloved children, grandchildren, and a host of loving relatives, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by her grace and kindness. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, the love she shared and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to celebrate Justina's life during Visitation on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at George Lopes Funeral Home, 647 Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 7, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 East Main Street, Brockton, MA, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery.
