Kensil Bruff was born on July 21st, 1951, in Kingston, Jamaica to Edgar and Vida Bruff.
Kensil attended St. Francis primary school and Tarrant Senior School. After graduating he worked as an auto-mechanic and taxi driver. After migrating to the U.S. in Boston, MA, he obtained employment as a Bus Driver for the MBTA/Crystal Transport Franchise for several years. Shortly after, he was self-employed as an auto-mechanic full time until he reached retirement age. Kensil Bruff was a massive lover of music and cars. A mostly self-taught auto-mechanic, he had the gift of fixing by ear.
Kensil survived a colon cancer diagnosis and was living in remission for over 5 years. Kensil was happy to have a new lease on life and spend the remainder of his life with those he loved.
He is survived by Brothers; Karl, Claude, Patrick (Deceased), Michael, Lloyd (Deceased), and Sisters: Yvonne (Joy) Hawkins, Clover Bruff, Janet Stephen and a host of his relatives and friends. He is also survived by his long-time companion and friend Mary Roach, mother of Ashley Roach, his daughter and Courtney Roach, his stepson. Along with his grandchildren Khamari, Jiraiya, Chanel, Jaleel & Kanan.
Kensil was majorly involved in the lives of his loved ones, ensuring sufficient action was taken. His heart was a rare find. He was a compassionate and brave man who could find the good in anything.
