Larry McAfee (LC) affectionately called teen’sy in his younger years, was born on June 8,1953 in Greenwood Mississippi, to the late Clodie B. (McAfee) Smith and Henry B. Edward, He Married Anne Jordan On June 15th, 1975, and from that union he had three sons, Patrick Jordan of Seattle Washington, Reno McAfee, of Jackson Mississippi and Derrick McAfee of Boston.
He was educated in the Boston school system, Martin Luther king Jr middle school then graduated from the Boston Tech High School in 1972. Thereafter Larry enlisted in 1974 in the United Stated Marine Corp and served until 1976. Larry Received an Honorable discharge with the National Defense Service Medal, for Rifle sharpshooter Badge. Larry loved working on cars, Larry worked at New England Auto Body on Talbot Ave, for several years in Dorchester, in 2014 Larry found a new occupation, and was employed by Longwood Security where he developed many friendships until his retirement in 2021 after some medical challenge.
Larry was a loner and was very private, but loved his family, like joking and laughing a lot, love good country food, he took solace in living in the Brookline area where he would sit on his porch watching the trolley’s go by, where he lived for the last twenty or more years.
Though Larry, didn’t attend church he accepted Christ in 2021 while in the hospital, and believe that God spared his life, and he was very grateful, always gave God thanks every day above ground. Larry passed on June 21,2024 unexpectedly. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Clodie Smith and his loving brother William Smith, Joseph Smith and his sister Evelyn Smith he will be missed dearly. other
Larry Leaves to cherish his memory his children, Patrick Jordan of Seattle Washington, Reno McAfee of Jackson Mississippi, and Derrick McAfee of Boston, his sister’s Dorothy James (Walter), Janice Gray (Ernest) and Delores all of Boston Massachusetts; three uncles Tommie McAfee, Eddie McAfee (Elaine) and Fred McAfee all of Boston and one Aunt, Lillie (Emma) Terry (Thomas) a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
