Lawrence Joseph Fernandez, Sr

Lawrence J. Fernandez Sr. (Larry) of Boston, Ma. passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on March 11, 2023 surrounded by family.

Larry was born on April 17, 1927, in Carver, Ma to Emmanuel and Annabelle Fernandez. He was the eldest of nine children.

Larry is well known for his strong work ethic in the construction field and was very outgoing. He always had something to say that would leave you with a smile on your face or have you thinking “no he didn’t”. He enjoyed frequent motorcycle rides on his Harley Davidson to the Cape and across the state to Laconia with friends. Larry loved going to breakfast on the weekends and never missed a Fish Friday. He enjoyed traveling state to state visiting family and friends with his brother Victor Fernandez (bee-tee). 

Larry is survived by his Longtime companion, Beverly Fernandes, his loving children; Lawrence Peters, of Dorchester, MA, Lorien Powell, of Dorchester, MA., Cheryl Fernandes, of Brockton, MA.,Mark Fernandes, of Lynn, MA.,Peter Manns, of Atlanta, GA., Patricia Fernandes, of Lynn, MA., Allyson Fernandes, of Atlanta, GA., Anthony Fernandes, of Brockton, MA., David Mendes of Stoughton, MA., Jermaine Fernandes, of Brockton, MA., Lawrence Fernandes, of Mattapan, MA. and Laura Fernandes, of Medfield, MA., and his beloved brother Victor Fernandez and countless grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents,  Larry was predeceased by his sons Lawrence Fernandes and Rodney Fernandes, both of Boston, MA., daughters; Carolyn Fernandes and Isabel Peters both of Boston MA., his sisters; Mary Nicholas, Irene Brito, Dorothy Southern, Eva Scott and Jaunita Baldwin his brothers; Oliver Fernandez, and Ralph Fernandez. 

Larry will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
