Lealer Mae (Samuels) Williams

Lealer (Samuels) Williams aged 93 passed away peacefully at Brandon Woods Nursing care on December 11,2024. She was born February 1,1931 in Pavo Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Lacey and Mattie Samuels. 

She preceded in death by her husband George K. Williams. Lealer was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was deeply devoted to her Baptist faith and especially enjoyed listening to some of the greatest Gospel singers of our time on a leisurely Sunday afternoon. Lealer was known as a great dresser with a beautiful smile, and a quick sense of humor. Her stories of growing up on the Pavo Georgia farms were both educating and exciting with a few laughs thrown in, she was loved and respected by all who knew and met her.

Lealer worked at Gillette companies in Boston as a machine operator prior she and her family moved to New Bedford in 1973 where she worked as a Lead Machine operator for Chamberlain Manufacturing until her retirement. 

Lealer was preceded in death by her brothers Lacey, Albert and Ulysses Samuels and her sister Ruth Busby. 

Lealer was preceded in death by daughters Delsia Bell-Robinson (Lawrence)and Lucinda Meyers-Wilson. She is survived by Seven Daughters Ruth Howard & Husband Ronald, of Sharon Ma, Henrietta Owens of Boston Ma, Myrtice R. Williams-Caban (Late Charles Caban) of New Bedford, Mattie K. Christian-Wood & Husband Steven of New Bedford, Valerie Williams-Parker of Norwich Ct, Kim Williams-Rozario & Husband Paul of New Bedford and Tanya Williams-Pediford & Husband Winsor of Baltimore Maryland and Four Sons Steven Williams & Wife Alexis of New Bedford, Eric Williams of New Bedford, Joseph Williams & Wife Michelle of New Bedford and Timothy Williams & Wife Julie of S. Kingstown R.I. 50 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends and former co-workers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 21,2024 viewing from 11 am to 12 pm with services to follow from 12 pm to 1 pm Repast 1pm to 3 pm at the George Lopes Funeral Home 647 Main St Brockton Ma.
