Lucilia De Andrade

It is with profound love and deep sorrow that the family of Lucilia De Andrade announces her peaceful passing on November 29, 2025, at her home in Taunton, Massachusetts.

Born on November 28, 1936, in Fogo, Cabo Verde, Lucilia was the cherished daughter of the late Augusta Mendes Nunes.

A devoted homemaker throughout her life, Lucilia poured her heart into creating a home filled with warmth, faith, and unwavering love. Her gentle spirit and quiet strength were the foundation upon which her family was built. She cared deeply, loved fiercely, and embraced each day with grace.

Lucilia leaves behind her ten beloved children, who will forever carry her wisdom and compassion in their hearts. She is also survived by a beautiful legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many adoring family members and friends whose lives she touched in extraordinary ways. Her presence brought comfort, her laughter brought joy, and her love will continue to guide those she leaves behind.

She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Manuel Freire De Andrade, and one dearly missed child, with whom she is now reunited in eternal peace.

Family and friends are invited to gather in loving remembrance during visitation hours on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at George Lopes Funeral Home, 647 Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301.

Following the services, Lucilia will be laid to rest in her beloved homeland of Fogo, Cabo Verde, where her journey first began and where her spirit will return home.

May her soul rest in everlasting peace, and may her memory continue to be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
